Description

Lower Wangfield Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century. It has a timber frame with some early 19th-century cladding and 20th-century features, including an outshot. The upper floor has an exposed frame on three sides, with herringbone brick infill, while the other walls are constructed of brickwork in Flemish Garden Wall bond with a cement plinth. The roof is half-hipped and covered with tiles. The north front of the house is two storeys high and features three windows, along with a boarded door set in a plain frame.
