The façade includes two windows and a door with a moulded surround, supported by two fluted brackets and adorned with a delicate moulded dentil cornice above. There is an angular bay window on the first floor, while the ground floor has a modern window. The building has sash windows with glazing bars and a panelled door with panelled reveals. Above the door, there is a plaque commemorating Jane Austen, who spent the last weeks of her life here before her death on 8th July 1817.
