5/22 Barn, 15m W of New Down Farmhouse

Barn. C17 or early C18. Timber-frame weatherboarded with corrugated iron roof. 5 bay aisled barn with full height double doors to centre bay in aisle porch on each side. Inside queen-post roof with straight windbraces, braces to aisle plate and tie, also aisle has tie. One end has inserted floor with stalls below, and end wall rebuilt in flint and brick.
