Description

This is a barn located 10 meters south-west of Park Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid 17th century. The barn has three bays and features one aisle on the east side. It is constructed with a timber frame, partly roughcast, and partially covered in corrugated iron. The roof, which is sheeted with asbestos, was originally thatched. There is a lean-to porch with a roof at the center of the west side. Inside, the open trusses maintain tie beam braces, while the aisles have ties connecting the principal post to the wallplate, although they are otherwise unbraced. The roof is supported by windbraced clasped purlins.
