Description
Yewcroft is a cottage dating from the late 15th century, with additional bays added in the 17th century, a 18th century outshot, and a 20th century wing to the rear. It features a timber-frame structure with colourwashed brick infill and additions, topped with a thatched roof. The front of the cottage is 1½ storeys high, consisting of four bays and an L-shaped outshot. There is a blocked doorway on the left-hand side of the right bay. The right centre bay has a 3-light casement window, while the left bays and outshot have 2-light casements, with eyebrow dormers above each bay. The dormers on the left are lower set, featuring tiled trays and lower eaves. The roof is half-nipped on the right and sweeps down on the left, with a ridge stack positioned above the door. Inside, the centre bays contain a two-bay open hall, with a 15th century bay to the right and a 17th century bay to the left.
