Description
The Cruck Cottage is a cottage dating from the 15th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a cruck timber-frame construction with colourwashed brick and a thatched roof. The cottage has three bays and two storeys, with an outshot store at the left end. The right bay includes a 20th-century planked door with a casement window. There is a 2-light casement window in the centre bay on the right and another 2-light casement at the left end. The vertically weatherboarded outshot has a door, and on the first floor, there are three 3-light casements with heads in eyebrow dormers, including a long one to the right of centre. The roof is hipped and sweeps down to the left, with a stack positioned to the left of centre. The eaves have been raised twice, as indicated by the frame.
