Description

Red Hill Cottages are a pair of cottages, originally a single cottage, dating to the 17th century with later extensions from the 18th century. The structure is timber-frame with plaster infill, with one end rebuilt in blockwork and featuring a colourwashed brick bay. The roof is thatched. The original 1 1/2-story, 2-bay 17th-century section has a bay added to the right in the 18th century. The central bay has a pair of planked doors sheltered by a long, pent-roofed hood supported by brackets. A 20th-century 2-light casement window is in the left bay. To the right is a 2-light casement with a segmental head. Above the two end bays is a 2-light eyebrow dormer window.
