Description

Hawthorn Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with alterations from the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with brick infill and rebuilding, a thatched roof, and a weatherboarded store. The front is one and a half stories high and consists of three bays, with an outshot to the left that includes a brick glazed door and a two-light casement window. The central bay has French doors, and above it is an 18th-century two-light leaded casement window set in an eyebrow dormer. The roof is half-hipped to the right and sweeps down to the left, with a ridge stack located to the left of the center.
