Description

The Old Forge is a 17th-century cottage that has been altered in the late 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with colourwashed brick infill and additional elements. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays plus a smoke/passage bay. There is a 20th-century outshot porch at the front of the narrow bay. The left bay includes a small canted bay with four lights, while the left bay has a three-light and a two-light casement, and the right bay has a two-light casement. Additionally, there are three three-light casements in eyebrow dormers. The roof is half-hipped, with a ridge piece and a stack located to the right of the centre above the door.
