Description
This is a barn located 40 meters northwest of Old Church Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick, with some areas of flint and cob, and features an asbestos sheet roof that has replaced the original thatch. The barn has five bays, and the front faces a farmyard that slopes from right to left. There are stable doors in all but the right of the center bay, each set under segmental arches, with steps leading up to the right door. The roof is half-hipped. Inside, the barn has an unusual roof structure made of queen-posts on floor beams of the hay loft, which are attached halfway up to tiebeams between the wallplates. This barn is included for its group value with nearby structures.
