Description
This is a pergola located against the south wall of the ballroom, built in 1926 by the architect Edwin Lutyens. It features tile piers set on stone plinths, which have small stone cornices. These piers support a large timber beam that rests on stone corbels attached to the ballroom wall. The pergola is six piers long. Between the columns on the ballroom wall, there are oval niches that include console corbels at the bottom.
