Description
Steps and bench located at the south end of the Long Walk on the west side of Marsh Court were designed by Edward Lutyens between 1901 and 1905. The steps are made of stone with flint and stone risers, featuring a flight of seven steps that widen downward from small projecting platforms on either side of the top two steps. At the top level, the area continues on both sides towards the house and away from it, with a bench constructed from tile piers topped with stone copings that are designed to hold timber planks.
