Description

The General Post Office, located on Victoria Road in Aldershot, was built in 1902 by architect Oldrieve. This elaborate three-storey corner building features a Dutch/Jacobean style, constructed from red brick with stone architectural details and a granite plinth.

Notable elements include gables, a corner turret, decorative bands, cornices, brackets, arches, mullions, and transoms. Most of these features are original, except for the metal windows on the main floor. The building also forms a group with the former Masonic Hall on the Station Road front.
