Description
27 Grosvenor Road is a late 19th-century commercial building located in Aldershot. It features an Italianate style and is constructed of brick and stucco with a tiled roof.
The building has two storeys, with five bays facing Grosvenor Road and three bays on Victoria Road. It has a hipped roof with wide eaves supported by brackets. The upper storey is made of yellow brick, accented with mixed red and yellow rubbers forming flat arches. The ground floor is stuccoed, featuring a cornice, frieze, architraves, rusticated walls, a plinth, and dado panels. There are two round-arched doorways at each end of the Grosvenor Road elevation, each adorned with keystones. Additionally, there is a one-bay, lower extension to the south on the Grosvenor Road elevation.
The interior has not been inspected.
This building is designated as Grade II due to its attractive Italianate architecture and the preservation of its decorative corner facade, which remains largely intact despite a few blocked openings.
