Description
Memorial Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rendered cob and painted brick, topped with a thatch roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with an outshot at one end and facing the road.
On the right half of the front, there is a long tiled hip-roofed porch featuring a central two-light diamond glazed bay window and a plank door next to it, supported by rustic tree-trunk posts. The left bay has a small two-light casement window. A stack is located to the right of the door. The roof is hipped and slopes down to the left end and the front.
The other side of the building has two two-light casements and an 18th-century two-light leaded casement window above the central bay. There is a plank door in one end bay and a gabled porch in the other, with a stack beside it.
