Description
Hinton House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick that has been stuccoed, and it features a slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has five bays. At the rear, there is a two-storey, five-bay wing. The front of the house has a central full-storey bow topped with an embattled parapet. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door beneath a radiating semicircular fanlight, with a 12-pane sash window above it. On each side of the entrance, there are 6-pane sash windows on both floors, all of which are curved. Each side of the bow features 12-pane sashes in both bays. All windows are adorned with reeded architraves. The roof is hipped and includes round-headed dormers with six panes on either side of the centre. There are stacks at each end of the roof.
