SZ 29 NW BRANSGORE A35 Hinton 12/2 East Close Hotel

GV II

House now hotel, with additions. Mid C18 altered and extended C19 and C20. Painted brick, slate roof with lead ridges. 2 storey 5 x 4 bay original house, at one end C19 2 storey and attic, 4 bay block. Front has slightly projecting centre bay, with ½-glazed double doors under radiating semicircular fanlight in panelled reveal to doorcase of Doric pilasters with full entablature to open pediment. Over Venetian window under rubbed arch. In bays either side 12-pane sashes under rubbed arches, larger on ground floor. Round window near LH end. Moulded cornice and plain parapet. Behind hipped roof with stacks behind ridge each side of centre. To LH later block with 1st bay set-back with gabled porch in front. Segmental headed sashes.
