Description

Ossemsley Manor House is a Tudor style manor house of red brick construction with stone quoins and battlements, incorporating a date stone of 1908 over the entrance. The southern facade features two-storey bays with nine-light mullioned and transomed windows with leaded casements, arranged on either side of a large arched entrance. To the east stands a square tower, with two windows each containing five lights and mullioned and transomed leaded casements. A string course runs along the tower, below which is a small oriel, and the tower is topped with battlements. The rear, or western facade, is irregular, with gables, oriels, and battlements. The tower rises behind the entrance, featuring a Tudor arched doorway, a heavy eaves cornice, a narrow band of five lancets between the cornice and a lower string course, and a truncated pyramidal roof. A north-facing gable is covered with tiles, incorporating fishscale banding and iron cresting. The house is generally two storeys high, with all windows and casements featuring leaded glazing.
