Description

This is a 19th-century raised pavement located on the south side of High Street, extending from the east end of No 11 to the west end of No 18. It features a rendered retaining wall and an iron handrail. Steps lead down from the center of the pavement to the roadway. Nos 11 to 18, which are consecutive, form a group with this raised pavement and railing, as well as with Elgons Court situated at the rear of No 18.
