Description
The building at 127 and 128 High Street is an 18th and early 19th century facade applied to a timber-framed structure. The facade is rendered and features horizontal bands on each side, a parapet and a tiled roof. It is two storeys high with an attic containing two dormers. There are four windows, with sash windows and flush frames, although the original glazing bars are missing. The shop fronts were altered in the early 20th century and project forwards. The building is part of a group which includes numbers 120 to 138 (inclusive), the iron gates and overthrow between numbers 132 and 133, and the Roman Catholic Church and Primary School, all of which are buildings of local interest.
