Description

12 and 13 High Street are an 18th-century building with a 19th-century shop front. The building is constructed of painted brick, featuring an eaves cornice, kneelers, and a tiled roof. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has two windows on the front of number 12 and three dormers on the front of number 13. The first-floor window of number 13 has glazing bars. The shop windows are a pleasant mid-19th century design, also with glazing bars. Number 12 has a doorway with a flat, bracketed hood. The buildings form a group with numbers 11 to 18, the raised pavement and railing in front, and Elgar Court to the rear of number 18.
