Description

No. 125 on High Street is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick, featuring a bracketed eaves cornice. It has a double span, hipped slate roof and stands three storeys tall with two windows that have sashes and glazing bars. The painted lintels and reveals add to its character, although it has a modern shop front. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 120 to 138, the Iron Gates and Overthrow between Nos. 132 and 133, and the Roman Catholic Church and Primary School, all of which are of local interest.
