Description

No 131 on High Street is an early 19th-century building made of painted brick, featuring a gable end facing the street, which is the rear of No 130. It has a tiled roof and stands three storeys tall with one window that has sashes and glazing bars. A notable feature is the attractive trellised wooden porch topped with a tent-shaped hood. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 120 to 138, the Iron Gates and Overthrow between Nos 132 and 133, and the Roman Catholic Church and Primary School, all of which are of local interest.
