Description

This listing describes the iron railings at numbers 133 and 134 High Street, dating from the early 19th century. The properties are a pair of red-brick houses with a stucco string course above the ground floor, a brick modillion eaves cornice, and a blocking course. They have tiled roofs, three storeys, and two sash windows with glazing bars on each floor. The houses feature round arched doors with good, semi-circular fanlights, with steps leading to the entrance of number 134. Both numbers 133 and 134 have iron railings terminating in arrowhead finials. These railings contribute to the group value of numbers 120 to 138 (inclusive), along with the iron gates and overthrow between numbers 132 and 133, and the adjacent Roman Catholic Church and Primary School.
