Description

Clover Cottage is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, some of which includes plaster panels, and has a thatched roof. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays, with the bay facing the road being longer. The front of the house has a plank door located at the inner end of the original bay, and in this bay and the two adjacent bays, there are two-light casement windows. The four bays on the blank side have a small two-light eyebrow dormer. The two 16th-century bays also feature two-light eyebrow dormers. The roof is half-hipped and has a large ridge stack positioned above the door.
