Description

Harbridge House is a rectory that has been converted into a house. It dates from the early 18th century and was altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick, featuring some decorative blue headers, and has a plain tile roof. The original structure is two stories with an attic and consists of four bays. A wide bay was added to one end in the 18th century, while another bay was added in the 19th century, which is slightly set back and has the entrance located at the end.

On the garden front, the original 18th-century bay to the right of the center features a plank door beneath a 19th-century gabled porch, with a blind opening above it. The right bay includes a two-story 19th-century canted bay window with a hipped roof that extends into the main roof. The left two bays have 12-pane flush-frame sash windows, with 9-pane sashes located above them. An original string course with blue headers runs from the porch to the left-hand side and continues onto the added left bay, which has a 16-pane sash window and a 9-pane sash above. Above the original left two bays and between the right bays is a 20th-century two-light dormer. There is a large ridge stack situated above the door, and the set-back right 19th-century bay features sashes with six panes and a large center pane. The roof is hipped.
