Inn and House. C17, C18 and C19, part rendered with tiled roofs. C19 rectangular range to street, C 17 lobby entry range forming rear wing to Star Inn. Two storeys, street front with grooved giant pilaster to left corner. Ground floor of Inn with 4 pane sash to left. Part glazed door in plain architrave surround to right. Modern shopfront to Number 8. Above, 4 pane sash to Inn blank tablet in the centre, tripartite sash to Number 8. Roof hip to left. Panelled brick stack. Rear wing along lane. Two 12 pane sashes below, one glazed door, three 8 pane sashes above. Blocked doorway with segmental head in the lobby entry position. Central brick stack with weathering. Tall lateral stack to right, gable stack to left. Two cell lobby entry plan survives with massive stack and further room to left, possibly C18 extension. Interior remodelled for bar, some roughly chamfered beams, and joists over bar, back to back fireplaces.
