Description

The barn at the northern range of Lea Green Farm dates from the 18th century. It features a timber frame with a brick base and is weatherboarded above. The barn has a steeply pitched tiled roof, which includes a coped gable end and kneelers. There are opposite doors and it consists of four bays. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, showcasing the wall posts, roof trusses, and a butt purlin roof. This barn is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 2 Downton Fields Cottages, Orchard Cottage, and Lea Green Cottage, as well as other listed buildings of Lea Green Farm.
