Description
The western cowshed at the northern range of Lea Green Farm is a Grade II listed building. It consists of two parts. The western section is timber framed with later brick infill, featuring three bays and an additional timber upright. It has timber posts with braces and a small diamond-shaped window in the center, flanked by two small square windows. The eastern part, dating from the 18th century, is constructed of red brick with grey headers and has a steeply pitched tiled roof with kneelers and coped gabled ends. This section is one storey high and has three windows. The cowshed is part of a group that includes Nos 1 and 2 Downton Fields Cottages, Orchard Cottage, and Lea Green Cottage, along with other listed buildings at Lea Green Farm.
