Description
This building is a barn and cowshed located 20 yards east of Leigh Park Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. It features L-shaped ranges that are two stories high with simple Gothic elements. The eastern section has a late 20th-century hipped tile roof with brick dentil eaves. The walls are made of red brick in English bond, adorned with roundel panels above pointed panels of blue bricks, which include ventilation holes shaped like diamonds. There are short buttresses and two large late 20th-century doors on the west (inner) face.
The southern section contains lofts above the cowsheds. On the southern (outer) face, there are three roundels above pointed panels of blue brickwork with ventilation holes. The northern face features a gable with a pointed hayloft door, another plain loft door, and four upper roundels made of blue brick panels. The ground floor has six pointed openings, which include four doors and two windows. The roof of the southern range is covered with corrugated iron sheeting.
