Description

The Beacon is an open gazebo built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of stone and stucco and features a circular pavilion set on a podium. The structure is topped with a dome that is supported by a plain Tuscan Order of eight detached smooth columns. Access to the floor is via a narrow flight of nine steps. At the top of the dome, there is a metal acanthus finial.
