Description
Stable Cottage is a house built in the early 19th century, with later additions from the late 19th century. It features a combination of flint and brick construction topped with a slate roof. The symmetrical front, facing south, is two storeys high with three windows, and there is a later one-window extension on the west side, along with a one-window outshot. The flint walling is accented with red brick dressings. The windows are sash style, and the plain doorway has a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. The original front includes a verandah supported by four plain wooden columns and a hipped slate roof, which is interrupted by glazing above the windows. At the rear, there is an outshot and a single-storeyed wing, both covered with scalloped slates, and the walls are made of painted brickwork. The rear features casement windows and late 20th-century doorways.
