Description

The cowsheds located to the north-west of the stable block at Longford Hall Farm date from the mid-19th century, with a later addition from the 19th century and some 20th-century alterations. They are constructed of red brick with brick dressings and feature plain tile roofs that have louvred vents at the ridges, along with stone-coped crowstepped gables resting on moulded kneelers. The building has a double range plan with a central corridor and an additional section to the south. It is single-storey and consists of four bays, plus an extra bay to the south.

The north elevation includes a central segment-headed doorcase with a stable door, and to the east, there is a 2-light casement window beneath a segment head. To the west, there is a 20th-century window in a blocked doorcase. The corners of the building are rounded, featuring scrolled stone corbels at the top, and the gables above have patterned breathers. The west elevation has one original serpent-headed doorcase and three 20th-century sliding doors. The south elevation includes the later addition with crowstepped gables, featuring a central semi-circular headed doorcase and similar windows on either side, with diamond breathers in the gable above. This structure is included for its group value only.
