Description
The gasworks, now used as a storage shed, dates from the late 19th century and is located to the north of the barn at Longford Hall Farm. It is constructed from red brick with Staffordshire blue brick dressings and features a slate roof with terracotta coped crowstepped gables. The building has dentilled eaves on the central block and sawtooth eaves on the side wings. It consists of three bays, with an advanced gabled central bay and flanking side bays that have single pitched roofs. The central bay has a segment-headed arch and a blocked circular opening above. On either side, there are segment-headed windows at different levels, with the window to the west now blocked. No interior features or machinery remain.
