Description

Lea Green Farm House is a farmhouse that was originally two cottages, built in the early 18th century and later extended and altered in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The main block features red brick walls with grey headers, while the first addition at the rear is timber-framed above the first floor, with brick nogging and tile hanging. A later addition to the right is also made of red brick. The roofs are mostly tiled, except for the right addition, which has a grey slate roof. There are brick stacks present.

The main block is two storeys high and originally had two cottages, as indicated by blocked doors at the center and left, which are under segmental heads. The current entrance is to the right and features a hood supported by consoles and narrow pilasters, with two sash windows with glazing bars to the left. A plain projecting brick band runs along the first floor level. The extension to the right is taller and has one similar window on each floor. There are gable stacks, and the remains of a single-storey extension can be seen to the left. The building was derelict at the time of inspection in 1985, and the interior was not explored.
