Description
This barn, located approximately 60 metres to the north-east of Lower Lea Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and features weatherboarding, some woven panels, an uncoursed limestone rubble plinth, and a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of five framed bays, with the framing displaying square panels that include angle braces and transverse tension braces. On the west side, there are four boarded doors, along with boarded loft doors in the gable ends. Inside, the barn has a double purlin roof supported by inclined strut trusses.
