Description
No. 6, 6A, and 6B on High Street in Hythe is a house that has been converted into two shops. It dates from the early 19th century, with extensions added in the mid-19th century and 20th century. The building features walls made of painted brickwork in header bond, while the west side is constructed in Flemish bond. It has a tiled roof. The northeast front elevation is two storeys high and has four upper windows. The windows are sashes set in exposed frames, and there are three rectangular bays on the ground floor that serve as shop windows. The doorframe includes a pediment supported by brackets, a blind arched fanlight, and a 20th-century glazed door, with a plain door next to it. The west side of the building is part of No. 4, which was rebuilt in the 20th century.
