GV II

House, now 2 shops and flat. Early C18 with late C19 shops. Uneven courses of stone with ashlar dressings; roof of green French tiles with brick chimneys. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Tooled ashlar surround to renewed yard passage door to right of centre. Left shop front (No.6B) has panelled surround to door at right and wide plate-glass window under fascia with cornice. Smaller shop front at right (No.6A) has half-glazed left door and plain window in plain wood surround under simple fascia with thin cornice. Blocked narrow window above door, and plain sashes over shops have shallow segmental-arched heads with rough voussoirs. Roof has swept eaves and end chimneys, the left of thin bricks and the right on large plinth. INTERIOR: passage shows early C18 two-panel doors to shop at left front and to room behind shop at right. Entrance to No.6, the flat above, through C20 doors in right wall of passage and in range to rear of No.6A.
