Description
Nos. 5, 6, and 6A Brighton Place are houses that have been converted into shops and flats. They date from the late 18th century and feature stucco that has been scored to imitate ashlar. The building has a two-span roof covered with tiles and stands three storeys high, with a total of three windows across the entire group.
The round-arched entrances to Nos. 5 and 6A are paired. To the left, there is a late 18th-century shop-front bay that includes two sets of 2 x 2 sash windows in an original design, topped with an entablature. All windows are flat arched. The first-floor windows on the left side of the group and near the center are tall and narrow, featuring 9 x 9 sash windows of an original design. There is a similar window on the left side of the second floor. The right-hand window on the first floor is shorter and broader, with 6 x 6 sash windows of an original design, and the window above it is of the same width but shorter. The interior has not been inspected.
