Description

The barn at Goodchild's Farm, dating from the 17th century, features five bays with an aisle on the east side. The northern half of the barn has been converted into a two-storey dwelling. It has a massive timber frame with queen posts and arch braces supporting the tie-beam and purlins. The roof is covered with red tiles and includes two gabled dormers, which are half-hipped at the ends. The walls are weather boarded, with a brick-nogged frame on the north end and the lower walls on the north side, while the south side has an open front that serves as a garage entrance.
