Description

This barn, located 10 meters west of Goodwyns Farmhouse, dates back to the 17th century. It features a timber frame, tarred weatherboarding, and a roof covered in corrugated metal sheeting. The structure consists of three bays and has a central cart entrance. The timber frame is of good quality with very little re-used material, including a middle rail on the gable ends and arched braces supporting the main trusses. The roof is constructed with an upper row of clasped purlins and a lower row of staggered butt purlins, with arched wind bracing in between. To the south, there is a later addition made from similar materials.
