Description
Snow's Hall is a farmhouse dating from the mid-16th century. It features a timber-framed and plastered structure with a 19th-century yellow brick facade and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with four windows that include 19th and 20th-century mullion and transom casements set under segmental arches. The entrance is a lobby with a six-panel door, a broad architrave, and a flat hood supported by enriched console brackets. There are two internal stacks that were rebuilt in the 19th century, and a single-storey lean-to addition is located on the right-hand gable end.
Inside, the center room on the ground floor features roll-moulded beams and joists with swept chamfers, while some fine exposed framing can be seen on the first floor. The original newel stairs are also present. At the top of the attic stairs, there is a small plastered cupboard with some pargetting, likely reused, displaying a fleur-de-lys over the door and figures of a man and a woman on either side. Additionally, there is another plaster fleur-de-lys located nearby in the attic.
