Description
This barn, located 100 meters west of Red House Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and is timber framed, primarily covered in weatherboarding, with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The structure consists of five bays and features a central cart entrance with a 17th-century gabled porch on the east side. The frame is largely intact, showcasing a middle rail and reversed braces at the corners. Most of the curved tie beam braces in the open trusses are still present. The roof is supported by two rows of butt purlins, with arched wind-bracing in between.
