Description
Hookers Farmhouse is a 17th-century and mid-19th century two-storey dwelling that showcases two distinct architectural periods. The older section features a unit attached on its south side, displaying a symmetrical front with three windows and coupled gables at each end. The roof of the old part is tiled, with a catslide made of corrugated iron, half-hipped at the west and featuring tapered stacks at both ends. The later section has a slate roof with end chimneys that are bracketed above plain gables. The older part exhibits exposed framing with brick and rendered infill, while the newer section is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with cambered openings and stone cills. The windows include casements, two of which have old leaded lights, and there are two plain doorways.
