Description
The boundary rails to the Royal Clarence Yard, located at its southern end next to Weevil Lane, date from the mid-19th century. This short section of boundary is associated with St George's Barracks, which is situated opposite. The boundary features a cast iron rail set on a stone kerb. There is one gateway that has open-framed piers adorned with ring ornaments, which taper above the impost level to create an archway that supports a central lamp bracket, with the frame remaining intact. Additionally, there is a wider gateway without an arch, which has similar piers and serves as the railway entrance to the Yard.
