Includes: Boundary railings extending from Guard House approx 300m, St George's Barracks WEEVIL LANE. Boundary railings and 2 sets of gates. c1860. Cast-iron with stone kerbs. Spear-headed railings with bracketed stanchions, good gateways have piers of connected rings curved over to overthrow lamps, and double gates. The gates in Weevil Lane were for the railway carrying Queen Victoria from the station in the Clarence Yard, for the Isle of Wight. (Harfield A: The Gosport Barracks, sometimes known as "New Barracks": Gosport: 1988-: 16-21).
