Description

CASTLE STREET 1. 5231 (West Side) Portchester No 129 SU 6105 11/229 II GV 2. Probably timber framed with facade embellished in mid C19. Rendered facade with pantiled roof. Gable end faces street. Scalloped bargeboard. 1 1/2 storeys. 1 window, ground floor has sash with exposed frame and glazing bars, lst floor casement. Doorcase with pediment and moulded architrave. 6 panelled door, top 2 panels now glazed. North side facade has 2 casements. Plinth visible on side facade. Rear gable end coped. Nos 129 to 155 (odd) form a group with No l40 (Walnut Cottage).
