Description
129 Castle Street is a Grade II listed building, likely of timber frame construction, with its facade enhanced in the mid-19th century. The exterior is rendered and features a pantiled roof, with the gable end facing the street. The building is one and a half storeys high and has one window on the ground floor, which is a sash window with an exposed frame and glazing bars. The first floor has a casement window. The entrance includes a doorcase with a pediment and a moulded architrave, leading to a six-panel door, of which the top two panels are now glazed. The north side of the building has two casement windows, and a plinth is visible on the side facade. The rear gable end is coped. This property is part of a group with numbers 129 to 155 (odd) and No. 140, known as Walnut Cottage.
