Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed building located on Havelock Road in Warsash. It dates from the 18th century and earlier 19th century and was formerly two cottages. The western side features an older rendered facade with an old tiled roof. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows in total, which are sashes with late 19th-century glazing. There is a central door leading to the older part of the building, and a one-storey outshut is present on the west side. An early 19th-century taller red brick section adjoins the eastern side, topped with hipped slates. A dormer window is located on the first floor where the two sections join. The cottage has a picturesque appearance. Yew Tree Cottage, along with Rose Cottage and Nos 1 to 3 Warsash Cottages, forms a group, with all except Yew Tree Cottage being buildings of local interest.
