Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th century, with restorations and extensions made in the late 20th century. The building features an exposed timber-frame structure with ironstone infill, and a rear wing constructed of brickwork from the 20th century. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped design at the north end and hipped at the south end, sloping down to low eaves above an outshot and dormers. The cottage has a lobby entrance and includes a south side extension, with one storey and an attic, displaying irregular window arrangements. The windows are casements. There is a 20th-century timber frame and stone porch with a half-hipped tile roof. Despite extensive modernisation, the main framework of the cottage remains intact.
