Description
Briffs is a cottage that dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, with extensions made in the 18th and 20th centuries. It features a timber frame with colour-washed brick infill and matching additions, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building is single storey with an attic, comprising a two-bay section from the 16th century, a 17th-century bay to the left, and an 18th-century bay that was rebuilt as a 20th-century wing to the right. There is a 20th-century hip-roofed glazed porch on brick walls in the right 16th-century bay. The cottage has a two-light casement window in the central bays and a three-light casement in the end bays. Additionally, there are five two-light hip-roofed dormers. The roof is hipped, featuring a stack above the left 16th-century bay and another stack on the left hip.
